Your information, handled with care.
How we collect, use and protect the personal information you share with us through this website.
Who we are
Thought Foundry Limited ("Thought Foundry", "we", "us") operates this website and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at info@thought-foundry.io.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and to understand how the website is used:
- Enquiry details you choose to send us: your name, work email, organisation, the topic you select and your message.
- Information you share when you email or call us directly.
- Anonymous website usage: pages viewed, approximate country, device and browser type, and the page you arrived from. This is collected without cookies and is not used to identify you.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss how we might help.
- To prepare for and deliver any engagement you ask us to take on.
- To understand which pages are useful, so we can improve the website.
- To keep the website secure and meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or add you to marketing lists without your consent.
Our legal basis
We process enquiry details because you ask us to respond, or to take steps before entering into an agreement with you. We use anonymous usage data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and improving the website. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
Client work is confidential by default, and we never publish client names or details without permission. We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions, such as our website host, the service that delivers enquiry forms, our email provider, and Microsoft Azure for website analytics. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
International transfers
Some of our service providers may process information outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards to protect it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond to you and, if we work together, for the duration of that engagement and any period required by law. Anonymous usage data is retained for a limited period, typically 90 days.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to provide it in a portable format. To make a request, email info@thought-foundry.io. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or to the data protection authority where you live, such as the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. Please do not send passwords, access tokens or other sensitive credentials through the website.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date below shows when it was last updated.
